GATHERINGS

Many people who have experienced marginalisation, isolation and difficult times in life have wonderful creative talents and ideas to share. Gatherings is an invitation for people to reconnect with creative interests they may have neglected or interrupted due to life situations or lack of opportunity.

An idea developed, which resulted in a plan to provide people with an opportunity to share their ideas and talents in music, drama, movement, poetry and visual arts. People are supported and encouraged with a place to meet, some resources and training workshops along the way and a chance to perform at local venues. Performances to the inner city community and others includes dramatic works, themes about social issues and pieces created simply to delight and entertain an audience.

There are opportunities to participate on many levels apart from performing. We need lots of participation in areas which may include making sets and props, lighting, stage management, costumes, helping set up, catering or just contributing new ideas and encouragement to others. The is aim to include people in a way that values the contribution they are able to make, however big or small.

If you would like to be involved or would like to help fund this very exciting, creative and innovative ministry please contact:
