Who we are

HopeStreet is one of the longest serving non-profit organisations in Woolloomooloo.

We are committed to putting faith into action by providing compassionate care to marginalised inner city residents.

We assist people who are in need, many who are at risk of or experiencing homelessness, addiction, mental health and legal issues, in addition to having diminished employment opportunities.

In August 2014, HopeStreet joined BaptistCare. BaptistCare is a leading not-for-profit Christian based care organisation, that has been serving the aged and people living with disadvantage for 70 years.

As part of BaptistCare, HopeStreet is aligned to the following Mission, Vision and Values.

Our Purpose

Transforming Lives By Expressing The Love Of Christ.

It's a simple, yet profound purpose. Whether that is helping retirees make the most of their golden years, providing shelter for the homeless, or being that caring presence at the end stage of life, everything we do, exists with this purpose in mind.

Our purpose goes back to our original mission statement in 1944: Expressing the love of Jesus to those in need and adds to it by bringing into focus the transformation outcomes we work towards for the broader community that we serve.

Our Vision

The Trusted Name In Life Transforming Care.

It's important that our vision, doesn't just state what we do currently, but gives our organisation a worthy goal to aspire to. To be The Trusted Name In Providing Life Transforming Care, and setting this as the industry benchmark is our vision.

Our Promise

Care You Can Trust.

Through our purpose, vision and values, this phrase aligns our promise to you: that with BaptistCare, you will receive Care You Can Trust. It's our bold commitment, and solemn promise.

Our Values - RESPECT

We believe that each person is unique, loved by God, and worthy of respect, dignity and inclusion. By respecting this individuality, we create strong and caring communities that value personal wellbeing - and each other. When this respect is shared, it has the potential to transform lives. We value this respect in our clients, colleagues and our wider network and this is what we practise every day.
