Together, in partnership with the Association of Baptist Churches we have built real momentum across NSW and the ACT, achieving much in raising awareness around the many faces of domestic and family violence; yet there is still more to do...
Every week, it seems, we are seeing breaking news reports which share the tragedy of another woman, another child lost to domestic violence. How many more women and children are at risk, right now? What can each of us do within our local communities in response to this epidemic?
BaptistCare HopeStreet is a frontline services provider, we see the impact of domestic and family violence every day.
Through our support services we provide supported housing for women and their children, as well as emergency finance and no-interest loans.
Our HopeStreet teams also offer specialised counselling and group support for women and children as they rebuild their lives, as well as men’s behaviour change programs - because at BaptistCare we take a whole of family approach and understand that without addressing the cause of violence we can never hope to eradicate it.
This BaptistCare Sunday we invite churches to:
For those in our community who are impacted by domestic and family violence
To BaptistCare HopeStreet domestic and family violence frontline services
